ASA 101 – Basic Keelboat Sailing

Begin your sailing journey with our ASA 101 course, designed to teach the fundamentals of sailing on a J/24 in Barbados' ideal conditions. Over three days, you'll cover essential topics such as sailing terminology, basic sail handling, and safety procedures. This course is perfect for those new to sailing or looking to solidify their foundational skills

Course Details

  • Duration: 3 days

  • Prerequisites: No sailing experience needed, however, pre-study of the "Sailing Made Easy" textbook is required.

  • Certification: ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing

  • Price: $850 per person or $2,800 for a private class (up to 4 people). Instructor gratuity is not included and is always appreciated

ASA 103 – Coastal Cruising

Advance your sailing skills with our ASA 103 Coastal Cruising course, focusing on coastal cruising techniques and navigation aboard a Jeanneau 32. This three-day course dives into navigation, anchoring, docking, and weather interpretation, preparing you for extended coastal passages.

Course Details

  • Duration: 3 days​

  • Prerequisites: ASA 101 certification and review of the "Coastal Cruising Made Easy" textbook.

  • Certification: ASA 103 Coastal Cruising

  • Price: $1,100 per person or $3,300 for a private class (up to 4 people). Instructor gratuity is not included but always appreciated.

ASA 110 – Small Boat Sailing

Experience the thrill of sailing smaller centerboard boats or beach catamarans with our ASA 110 course. This course offers hands-on training on vessels like the GP14 or Dart 16, emphasizing agility and responsiveness. It's ideal for those looking to master small boat handling and develop a deeper understanding of sail dynamics.

Course Details

  • Duration: 3 days

  • Prerequisites: None; suitable for beginners and those with some sailing experience.​

  • Certification: ASA 110 Small Boat Sailing

  • Price: $750 per person. Instructor gratuity is not included but always appreciated.​

ASA 114 – Catamaran Cruising

Specialize in multihull sailing with our ASA 114 course, focusing on the unique aspects of cruising catamarans. Over three days aboard a Prout Snowgoose 37 Elite, you'll master catamaran-specific techniques, systems management, and safety procedures, enhancing your versatility as a sailor

  • Duration: 3 days

  • Prerequisites: ASA 103 and 104 certifications and review of the "Catamaran Cruising Made Easy" textbook

  • Certification: ASA 114 Cruising Catamaran

  • Price: $1,100 per person or $3,300 for a private class (up to 4 people). Instructor gratuity is not included but is always appreciated.
