ASA 103 - Coastal Cruising 

Take your sailing skills to the next level with ASA 103. Immerse yourself in the beauty of coastal waters, mastering docking, anchoring, and weather interpretation. This intermediate course is your gateway to coastal adventures, where every wave and breeze tells a story of freedom and exploration.

Course Content:

  • Advanced sailing techniques, including reefing, heaving-to, and crew overboard recovery.

  • Coastal Navigation basics: reading charts, plotting courses, and using a compass, understanding tides and currents.

  • Basic weather forecasting

  • Anchoring, mooring, and docking under power.

  • Engine checks and troubleshooting

  • Duration: 3 days  (includes both classroom and on-water instruction)

  • Prerequisites: ASA 101 certification and review ASA 103 textbook Coastal Cruising Made Easy

  • Certification: ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising Certification

  • Price:

    • Day Sailing Option: US$1100 per person or US$3300 for private class (max 4 persons).

    • Liveaboard option: US$1350 per person for shared cabin (min 2 persons), US$1650 per person for private cabin or US$3600 for private class (max 4 persons).

    • Instructor Gratituity is not included but always very appreciated. 

  • Vessel: well maintained 30-4o foot monohull (Jeanneau Sun Oddysey 32i) or multihull (Prout Snowgoose 37 Elite)
